This last Thursday we woke up to find water gushing from from the ground in our front yard. No, we didnt strike water. At least not an underground stream. We did however have a water main break. It created a big bubble of water under the grass about four feet in diameter and a foot tall with water coming out several holes. The Missouri water department showed up about 11:00 and dug a six foot deep hole to get to the line and capped it with some clamps. It was a nice day on Thursday so the crews were in a talkative and good mood and let the kids have some fun. We have a fire hydrant next to our house so the men uncapped it and the neighborhood kids got to play in the water for about 30 minutes and we snapped some photos. The adults got a little wet too.
