S.M. Lockridge (born Shadrach Meshach Lockridge 3/7/1913) was a renowned Baptist Preacher. He preached for a prominent African American congregation in San Diego from 1953 until 1993. He was active in the Civil Rights movement and is best known for his stirring description of Jesus as King from a sermon in the mid-70's. This is an audio of "That's My King" If you have never heard Lockridge, you must. It moves me every time I hear it.
