I was in Texas again this past week. Been traveling way too much but lots of stuff going on at work right now. Anyway, I missed my grandmothers(Mema) 97th birthday party this last weekend. All the family gets together for it every year except my family since we live 600 miles away. We make the big milestones (90, 95) but missed the between ones. Since I was down there I decided to pop over to Ft. Worth on thursday night and take her to dinner on her actual birthday. My mom, J.L, Uncle Jay, and Aunt Betsy joined us at MiMi's cafe.
Mema is a very special lady. Although she is slowing down a bit, and her hearing is going, her mind is still sharp as a tack. She always has a good attitude and is fun to be around. She was still driving a car when she was 95, picking up little old ladies to take them to church. She is at church every time the doors open. She is strong in the faith and strong in her love for her family.

Shawn, my camera did not take those pictures very good. The pictures of me and family was too dark. Sorry it wasnt lighter to see us better. It turned out great for Mema. She shows up good. Mom
