It all happened in Houston when the arrogant Tony Larussa defied the BOOK and had Carpenter pitch to Lance Berkman instead of intenionally walking him. The rest is history as Berkman homered to win the game. The players then psycologically gave up on the manager and the 2006 season. As a life long Cardinal fan I honestly believe decisons made by Tony in the last month have lost more games than they have won.Example is last night even thought they won. He benches Edmonds for lefty righty matchup and So Taguchi had a two base one run error in the second ininng with a shaky Jeff Weaver pitching.
